What happens when we spend long enough with a landscape that we begin to see it differently? Artist and dowser Pete Bousfield has spent more than twenty years exploring the eastern edge of Bodmin Moor, following geology, water, ancient sites, earth energies and, eventually, the shape of a dragon.

Driving home from Bodmin Moor one evening, I felt a powerful energy rising as I crossed the landscape. By the time I reached a hollow lane near home, I sensed a portal deep within a Cornish hedge, and with it came a name: Ad-Jaar. What followed felt feminine, ancient, immense, and utterly beyond words.
