Labyrinths, dragons and sacred geometry are not simply subjects I explore. They form an unfolding odyssey through my own hero’s journey - a magical breadcrumb trail leading from childhood wonder and a powerful encounter in a Cornish fogou, through dowsing, healing and the Flower of Life, to labyrinths and dragon consciousness.
Here I share the signs, synchronicities and discoveries that continue to deepen my relationship with creativity, consciousness and the living intelligence of the land. Maureen welcomes Cornwall-based dowser Alex Russell Stoneham, who has over 40 years’ experience exploring earth energies, sacred geometry, and the relationship between people and landscape.
Alex describes Cornwall as a uniquely mystical land rich in standing stones, holy wells, Celtic seasonal rhythms, and Arthurian sites.
She recounts a formative childhood experience exploring a Cornish fogou at age 12 that sparked a lifelong quest into sacred sites, ancestors, and wonder.
Alex explains how she began dowsing as a teen using a pendulum, later sensing energy fields around a menhir with L-rods, and discusses shifting from focusing on geopathic stress to nurturing supportive, joyful energies, including labyrinth work and her evolving connection with dragon energies.

Some places are dramatic the moment you arrive. Others are much quieter and seem to reveal themselves slowly.
The Sanctuary at Avebury was like that for me.
It sits within an extraordinary landscape, close to Avebury, Silbury Hill and the West Kennet Avenue, but compared with the great stones at Avebury it can seem quite understated. Today, what you see are markers showing where circles of timber posts and stones once stood.
I had been there before, but on this particular visit I went in with my dowsing rods and asked a very simple question:
“Please show me what I need to know.”
